Pal Versions with English Subtitles

I was wondering if anyone has the PAL versions on DVD. I just want to know if they are subtitled in English. I was thinking of getting them, but if they speak Japanese, well then theres no sense because i don't understand Japanese.

thank you.

Are you sure? I tried searching for it and nothing came up. I tried all sorts of combinations: Ring 0, Ringu 0, Ringu Baasudei, Ringu Birthday, Baasudei, etc. Any suggestions?

The UK Tartan release has English subtitles. Also, Ringu 0 is the only movie of the trilogy where the subtitles are not burnt in--so they are readable (contrary to Ring 1 & 2 where the PAL release sucks big time).

I live in the US. I bought Dreamwork's R1 DVD of Ringu, Universe Laser's VCD of Ring 2, and Tartan's R2 PAL of Ring 0. The DVD's I got were probably the best subtitled transfers available (but Tartan's Ring and Ring 2 aren't, from what I've heard). The VCD was OK, but you'll get a headache from trying to read those borderless subs. Unfortunately, the same is true for Tartan's DVD of it. Unless you have an all region, PAL/NTSC converting DVD player like I do, you won't be able to play the Tartan releases if you live in the US. Even if you can play them, the only one of theirs worth getting is Ring 0.
