Scariest of the series

I'm not a huge fan of the Ringu series. They're OK movies but I think they get bogged down in too much confusing mythology and become a little too dull and talky to reach classic status. But this one really pleased me by the standards of the first 3 movies. It's much more of a human story, and many of the scenes in Sadakko's acting troupe are very involving even when they don't have creepy-walking ghosts or dead bodies in them. And the climax is scarier than anything in the other movies (to me anyway). 9/10.
