DVD Quality

Just saw this DVD (region 2, UK). It looked a little 'jerky' like the frame rate was wrong. I assumed it was a damaged disc, so looked at another one, and it had the same annoying 'jerky' quality.
Has anyone else noticed this?

I noticed that the image quality was poor but not really jerky. The contrasts are all wrong and colours bleed into one another - it looks like they've used a poor quality cinema print rather than used a special low-contrast print.

I've just watched this and agree with both of you. The picture quality wasn't particularly good, and there was jerkiness - it was very slight however and I found that I wasn't even noticing it after a few minutes. Great film though.

I have this http://global.yesasia.com/en/PrdDept.aspx/code-c/section-videos/pid-1001820203/ (cheap) DVD, and there too the picture quality wasn't great, although quite watchable.

I noticed a slight jerkiness in some pan shots, like when the teacher was staring out the window. And the colors could have been better in this transfer, I agree. Overall it was quite watchable though, and a very pleasant film.
