I saw the end of this movie on TV today...it wasnt so great but can anyone explain the end to me? Does the girl get picked out of the water (is that her by the pool at the end) or does she just drown?
Also, not that it seems to matter, but what happens in the beginning of the movie (I watched it from the part where the two guys come back from snorkeling and talking about jobs).
You are left to basically believe that she is left out there, to eventually drown, because she's out in the middle of nowhere.
No, that definately was not her at the pool, that was just the guy they had dropped off in the water, who had been picked up, and was the only one to actually survive.

The movie starts with Gloria's body floating in the water, so she doesn't get rescued
The woman at the pool at the end of the movie is the woman on the other boat who was eying Marcos that passes by them. I got the feeling that they knew each other before this event but I'm not sure. Also, at the end of the movie, Marcos is speaking clear English with no accent.
