Never gets mentioned in the top Horror films of the Millennium

Is it Because of it's extremely limited release in 1999? 99% of it's releases were in 2000.

I always list it my top horror films of the Millennium and if it wasn't for Let The Right One In, it would be #1.

Because it shouldn't be there? A torture scene and and almost an hour of awkward romance doesn't make it a great horror movie. Very overrated in my opinion.

The bravo TV special top 100 scary movie moments or whatever had it as like number 18 I'm pretty sure... Rob zombie and Eli Roth get into it
