The dream sequence is one of the best scenes ever

Mind blowing

Yup, those trippy ten minutes are amazing - especially since they come with a wham after the slow build up. I was losing interest a bit but that woke me up alright. Crazy, dark, fascinating, unpredictable, and brilliantly edited together. The film won me over completely from that point.

That is a masterpiece of understatement.

Hands down one of the best ever made. No Wonder author Ryu Murakami loved it so much. Miike is a Genius. The bag sequence was so well done. The music, the shots, the crappy place, you truly enter into the total dementia of someone and all done in low budget. Miike understood how to show someonething so effective and shocking in a couple of minutes. Its one of those thing that is truly rare in cinema.
