Man in sack? *spoilers*

I have not seen this movie, only read very detailed summaries. I read about a flashback scene seemingly referred to here as the "vomit scene". There is one sentence in the summary about this flashback, about the person crawling out of her sack missing fingers, a tongue, etc. I'm curious, was it ever mentioned again whether this person lives or dies, or do we not find out?

As a side inquiry, I saw a post on here about a puppy killed in the movie. Can someone tell me what happens in this situation where this happens? I don't know whether I can watch it; non-human deaths bother me a lot more in movies than human ones.

From memory you don't find out about the man in the bag.

You see a dead dog for about 2 seconds. You don't see or hear it die.

Thanks!

I always assumed the man in the sack was the record executive that went missing, the one she had listed on her resume.

Yeah, it's probably him. They never say it outright, but it's heavily implied.

Probably need help if animal deaths bother you more than human ones... I am going to go finish my bloody, bloody rare steak on that note vegan goof.
