Yawn...

Boy, was this boring! Man, watching the trees grow would've been far more interesting than watching this. Well, one more movie I'll add to list of "Good remedies for insomnia!

Yeah, it was a pretty pointless film.

lol, SO true. One of my coworkers told me about this movie. She said it was the scariest thing she had ever seen, and warned me to be prepared because it was so chilling that she could barely sleep that night. So I put off watching it for MONTHS thinking it was going to be traumatizing.

I finally watched that sh*t, and it was so. effing. BORING. So boring that I kept falling asleep while watching it. I finally managed to stay awake during the last 30 minutes but still repeatedly let out Chewbacca-like yawns of sheer boredom. Then suddenly it was over, and I was like: Seriously, what the fuuuuuuuuuuu*k, I'll never get those hours back.

For the most part, I have to agree. I heard about this movie back in early 2001. And based on glowing recommendations, I went to great lengths to secure a copy. Needless to say, I was supremely let down. There are so many things wrong about Audition that it would take too much time to get into it in this thread. It's a beautiful, well-shot film that just happens to be a mess of ideas, as well as a massive failure of logic and comprehension. A movie I've always WANTED to like but never could.

Build ups and atmosphere makes good horror movies in my opinion and this does both well; I do think it is a little slow but that doesn't bother me
