Son of the Beach: Volume 1 came out on DVD almost a year ago. What's taking them so long to release volume 2?

Brothers and sisters fighting is as natural as a white mans dialogue in a Spike Lee movie.

I hope volume 2 gets released soon.I would try to find out but I don't where I should check to see if there are any plans on releasing it.

this is something that i'm wondering about myself. would be pretty messed up if they decide not to make the dvd's.

There were three seasons of the show. The volume 1 DVD set contains the entire first season and half of the second season. Volume 2 should contain the rest of the second season and the entire third season.

It's been 2 years since volume 1 came out! How can they only release one volume and not complete the collection? Come on Howard Stern, you were a producer on it, get it out! That show was hilarious, it should of lasted longer.

I have now been waiting for a long ass time for the second volume to be out, why the hell is it taking so long, I WANT THE REST OF THE SECOND SEASON AND THE THIRD SEASON EPISODES ALREADY DAMMIT!!!!!! And I just don't understand why they had to cancel this show because it had good comedy, a great cast and some smokin hot babes, plus it only lasted 3 seasons?!?!

The reason why it was canceled and why the 2nd volume of DVDs have yet to come out is the lack of fund generated. I thought the show was hillarious, as did the rest of you, but it looks like we are in the minority.

Just picked up a few DVDs this afternoon, and came across "Son of the Beach" volume 1. The packaging made no note of censoring. Is the DVD set censored or not? The series was plenty funny, and I'd probably buy it either way, but I'm just curious.

THey should release it. For one thing, I didn't even watch the conclusion of the 3-part finale!

Neither volume was censored beyond how they originally aired (e.g. nudity covered bars or something similar).

I e-mailed FOX almost a year ago and got this response:

from 2-22-02

"Hello,

Fox has no plans to release the title in question at this time. I will forward your request onto our corporate office so they can see what the public would like to see on DVD.

Thank you,

Fox Consumer Services"

Too bad, really. SotB was one of my favorites. So until later - Ride the big one.

This is driving me crazy as well. I thought this show was so funny. It was great. I have gotten a lot of ppl into it having them watch my vol 1. Can you belive they had never heard of the show. I just wish the rest would come out!!!!

I think that should defintly release the second Volume. That way we can have the full series. The show was funny and it sucks when they only put out put of a show on DVD then never realease the rest of it.

Thanks for the info; I've been waiting for the longest time.
I'm still enjoying the first set that was released too!
This show is like the music of Sly & The Family Stone...Timeless!
I'll be ready for the new release in November!
