Wrong title, wrong date...

The staff information for this show is the one from the 2008 show currently on air in Japan, "Casshern Sins".
The "Related movies" section mentions it's known as "Robot Hunter: Casshern", a recut version of the 1990's OAV series. This recut series is totally unrelated to Casshern Sins, and is not dated 1988 anyway. (It's more likely to be 1994 or 1995.)
I think it would be faster to update the series title and its release date, but I don't know of any way of doing it myself, hence the board message ;)

I put in fixes to remove the false "1988" stuff and the erroneous "alternate language of" tag.
I am not able to enter the release date for some reason.

I can't agree more with moinsyyed. Unfortunately, this anime is very unknown even for the anime fans. I discovered it only after reading dozens of "recommend me animes like.." forum threads. At first I thought "Casshern what?", lucky me I had whatched the other recommended animes or it wasn't of my taste. Now I'm watching ep 14 and I'm totally hooked up.

I don't understand the IMDB score either.

It's showing on Toonami currently, which is how I cam upon the series. The 3rd ending theme is probably the most beautiful one I've ever heard, I just hope Toonami doesn't cut it off like they normally do with their EDs
