This Series Really Keeps Going From Strength To Strength

I would even call this as good as if not better than 'wolfs rain'...very apocalyptic & dark but also very hopeful and depicts a brilliant anti-hero/ villain of sorts given the mythos!

Whosoever has given it such a low rating i beg you reconsider as you watch the series, this is definitely up there with the greats. The music is soft and haunting but pounding with intensity in action scenes. Don't judge this on the first episode watch about 5-6, then maybe onto 10 and you will reap the rewards!

yeah i totally agree, the animation is refreshing, the plot is original, the script is pretty amazing, fight scenes are sick, soundtrack is beautiful, i loved it, definetly the best anime to come out of 2008, everyones entitled to there opinion but i cant see why this is rated 6 right now.

I totally agree again. In fact I usually don't like animes with a heavy load of drama/philosophy components (I usually think that for this kind of plots it's better a non-animation movie-show). For example, I dropped Wolf's Rain although I watched 14-15 episodes. But man, there's no excuse with Casshern Sins. It's focused in relatively few moral/ethic/drama/philoshophycal issues, but it exploits them amazingly. You have nice action scenes too. CS rocks.

They are showing this on Toonami now and I just finished episode two, so far I like what I see so I'll continue to watch it.

Quick question: Are those guns on Casshern's hips?

Something tells me the people of earth are gonna need me.

They're just decoration, part of Casshern's 'beauty' that he gets praised with throughout the series. It's kinda a vanity symbol, just like his horned-helmet-- but he only uses his hands and feet to fight so definitely not weapons.

Well that is a little disappointing. I was hoping they were guns that matched him and his "beauty", they don't look like much but the hole they leave in robots is nothing to laugh at.

I just saw in a recent episode that they seem to be some kind of jet propulsion that helps him move faster.
