It's good but The Baader Meinhof Complex (2008) is better

Some people may not know the whole story of the radical leftist activities in West Germany that started during the Vietnam War. It was sort of like what happened in Northern Ireland where bombs were planted and then the police were called. There are movies dealing with this including Rainer Werner Fassbinder's The Third Generation (1979) and before that The Lost Honor of Katharina Blum (1975) The general idea is that West Germany was being run by former Nazi's.

You may be surprised to learn that German law does not include trial by jury. That's scary. On both sides of the Wall, authority of the state was absolute.

An interesting view from East Germany is in the movie The Rabbit Is Me (Das Kaninchen bin ich) 1965 which was produced by the DEFA studio and then banned by the government.
