Can the lead character (Alex) be anymore feminine?

WOW, talk about a miscast. The dude that plays Alex is FLAMING. They way he talks, his mannerisms, etc, all scream that he's gay. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but NO WAY would he have both a girlfriend and be turned on by his female goth neighbor. Did anyone else notice this?

He certainly sounds like a gay man, although on the commentary he mentions his then "girlfriend," so maybe he's just a really effeminate straight/bisexual dude... Regardless though, I think his performance works pretty good in the film. His nice/effeminate personality is a great contrast to the evil slime spirit that takes over...
