Gametap will soon be making Wing Commander: Privateer and a few other old EA titles (no other Wing Commander titles have been announced yet, though) available. Now is a great chance to play the game again without using emulators or poorly-made remakes! Hopefully EA will release the other Wing Commander games on Gametap and maybe one day make a new Wing Commander game...

I'm still waiting for Gametap to make good on this promise... in the meantime they went out and released Wing Commander 1, 2 and 4 on the service so I can hardly complain really. But it's wierd that they announced Privateer first and it still isn't on the service yet.

Gametap went and dropped support for *all* of EA's titles as well as a handful of other publishers so that they could spend the money on other games (of all things the big press release was about Daikatana!). So no privateer for gametap... ever.
I don't know what they were smoking when they made that choice. Hopefully EA will either start their own service or hook up with somthing like steam to deliver classics like theses for a few bucks.
