Madly in love with KWashington so i thought i'd check out this early work and was SHOCKED to see her somewhat chubby as a teen.
Good performance and a good movie.

shareThis was one of the first films I saw KW in, and I really loved it---there was a sizable audience for the film in the srthouse theatre I saw in it. Very real, realistic,mature, and thoughtful--I should've gotten this on VHS or DVD already. I've liked her since then,especially after I saw her in SAVE THE LAST DANCE---even back then, she was clearly a talented actress and probably going places---which she has. That's why it's a trip to see her getting all this well-deserved hype now---because she's always been a good actress---she finally got that part that put her out there,and it's been great to see that.
Also,she wasn't even so-called fat in this film,she just had some meat on her bones, and the only reason she's so skinny now is because she had some issues with bulimia a few years back.
Really i thought she was 17 or 18 when she made it
