Annie Hall quasi-remake?

So, am I the only one who found a profound resemblance between this film and Woody Allen's relationship masterpiece, Annie Hall? It takes place later, and the woman is the protagonist instead, but besides that, the overall story seems reeeeeallly similar to me. (I must add, though, that Annie Hall is a far superior movie. I mean no disrespect to Love & Sex - I like this movie - but Annie Hall-caliber it is not.)

They are both brilliant. It's not quasi anything. The P.O.V s are completely different, It cracked me up all the way through. The details were looked after. Favreau is adorable, Janssen - you just can't take your eyes off her. The parade of boyfriends was very entertaining. And the "actor' spot on, in the writing and the playing. It's the 1st movie I 've seen with a new friend. He picked it out and I know this was the last thing he expected to see, I have a feeling seeing it together gives me insight. Made me laugh. Made me think. Annie Hall some similarities. There was one scene in in L & S that was very much like one in AH. The 2 speak to their therapists about how often they want sex, and they just aren't on the same page.

I made the mistake of watching Annie Hall once when I was very young and it nauseated the crap out of me. Now that I'm all grown up I guess I need to give it another shot
