I just saw this film last night and it is far better than The Fast and the Furious.
I actually cried in this film, firstly when Sky was saying goodbye to his dad as he was leaving for Hong Kong and secondly when they were all in the morgue crying for Panda.
However there weren't that many cars on displayed compared to the Fast and the Furious but I think that was made up by the storyline which had a little more heart than the Fast and the Furious.
I still enjoy the Fast and the Furious but now having seen The Legend of Speed, it is by far better.
I thought it was better than Fast and the Furious. IMO, it had a better plot. (plus I like Ekin MUCH better than Vin Diesel)
sharefast and the furious was just sad. bad acting, crap cars, no storyline and a serious lack of realism. This movie is actually decent and worth watching unlike fast and the furious (or even the second one).

WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY BETTER THAN FAST AND THE FURIOUS ESPECIALLY THE LAST RACE, the final like 2min of it i like that song
First off, The Fast and the Furious is not all that great a film. I thought for sure Legend of Speed would be better when my friend got it from Netflix. Boy was I wrong.
This film has some of the worst racing scenes of all time. The race leader regularly changes hands for little or no reason. There is little to no feeling of continuity in the races. The director is clearly a filmmaker and not a car guy. Showing cars "going fast" repeatedly does not make a scene and/or a movie. Oh, and I guess these racers are too hardcore to use a racing harness, only regular seatbelts will do for them.
Ekin Cheng is so unappealing in this film that I was rooting for him to die in a crash. Never did I think I would prefer Paul Walker as the protagonist in a racing film.
On a final note, when that toy EVO flew off the shelf with no outside influence, I just about keeled over from laughing.

Won't that be grand? Computers and the programs will start thinking and the people will stop.
I found this movie to be much better than The F&F 1&2.
Like skylinerox said the F&F 1&2 is just eye candy; filled with a bunch of bulls**t chrome, multi-colored paint jobs, and all around flash.
IMO Legend of Speed had a far better plot. It encorpertad alot more emotion which kept me even more involved in the movie. There are s**t load of ups and downs. It was also the only movie I know of that referred to the pressure of forced induction in bars; which uped its' points in my book. Also the characters seemed to have more depth.
AS SmokeManmuscle stated: "This film has some of the worst racing scenes of all time. The race leader regularly changes hands for little or no reason. There is little to no feeling of continuity in the races. The director is clearly a filmmaker and not a car guy."
This was the only bad point in this movie. People would just push the gas and pass one-another up. It was like there was no end to the floor boards and an infinate throttle cable. But I will say that the races were much better than the F&F 1&2.
This movie is in fact a remake of No Man's Land (1987) starring Charlie Sheen..
shareso the only bad part of the racing movie was the actual racing?
