Did he think about this?

I noticed a discrepancy last night when I was watching it on Comedy Central. At the end when he's talking about being married vs. being single, he says being single is like playing Pin The Tail On The Donkey blindfolded. According to the rules of the game, you're already blindfolded. Did he play the game with his eyes open as a kid?
