Spelling of Epicenter/Epicentre

Generally speaking, Americans write 'center' and Europeans write 'centre', right? Well, as far as I know epicenter is always spelt either with an 'er' or an 're' (it doesn't change, it's just the way it is).

Does anyone know which it is? Because the Australian release is called 'EPICENTRE' and not 'EPICENTER'. Thankies :D.

the word 'epicenter/epicentre' changes in exactly the same way 'centre/center' does. europeans would write epicentre but it was released here (uk) with the american spelling. perhaps they thought the australians would have been totally baffled by a supposed 'mis-spelling'...
