Two Face?

How come Harvey Dent (Two-Face) was never in the Batman Beyond series what happened to him?

reply

The creators didn't want to run through all the Batman villains. They only used a select few.

Does IMDB hate apostrophes?

Understood, though it would've been nice to at least get a bit more closure on Dent. Oh well

I agree. He was one of the more important characters of Bruce Wayne since he was friends with him before he became twoface.

Same here, well it sucks that Two-Face was never mentioned in Batman Beyond. If there were to be a Two-Face 2 for Batman Beyond i would like him to rob stuff during the day to give to charity because Two-Face is suppose to be the lesser of two evils. I mean Bruce/Batman said he fears Two-Face more then any of his foes and it's something the writers don't seem to acknowledge threw out the years. During an interview on the character they said Two-Face was their favorite but they never gave him enough screen time which is even worse. And i don't care if it wasn't Bruce's story anymore. So what if the writers themselves said they purposely stayed away from Batman's rogues to avoid making it the Bruce Wayne show again. It wouldn't have hurt the show to have some conclusion to some of our bat-foes. To me it seems like a very bad excuse for them to not include them.

I never watched the whole animated series so I can't say if they ever gave him an "official" conclusion in the DCAU. However, I have read before that the makers of Batman Beyond wanted to stick to original villains instead of just sticking with the same Batman villains which is fine with me.

If they ever did bring Two-Face back, I would've preferred his last appearance similar to Bane, an extremely brittle old man knocking on death's doorstep because of his reliance on Venom. Granted, that exact situation wouldn't work for Two-Face but something along those lines.

Maybe something like The Dark Knight Returns where Harvey Dent had plastic surgery or where the Harvey or Two-Face persona finally took over the other (psychologically). Or heck, maybe have him as an old man in a retirement home or insane asylum who doesn't even really care about having two personalities anymore.

The way they handled Bane's life near the end was almost Watchmen-esque, it showed this supposed super-villain as an old man who eventually grew old like the rest of us but had to deal with his criminal lifestyle. I would have loved to see something lke that for Two-Face.

Can't be too careful with all those weirdos running around.

Same I'd still like to see a proper Two-Face that Robs stuff during the day to give to charity cause lets face it. He never gets the respect he deserved or a proper ending to his fate, even the blasted Batman Beyond comics won't say what became of him. Still maybe not Harvey as Two-Face but someone else who takes up the mantel of the coin.

I like to think he had passed on by then. But the Beyond series did toy with a new two face in the form of the Jokerz member that Max figured out when she thought Terry was one of them.

May have been dead.
