Is this a ripoff of another show or was that a ripoff of this

I saw a South American soap opera very similar to this one on tv the other day about an ugly assistant with braces, glasses and fuzzy eyebrows. Is this a ripoff of this or was this the original. It was also called la fea something.

This is the original one. You probably saw the Mexican one. It's called "La Fea Mas Bella", i believe. I tried watching the Mexican remake but it's impossible, because it's so bad.

Have you seen "Yo soy Bea"? It's the Spanish incarnation of this show.
