funny

the first 30 minutes of semper fi were quit okay, i mean its obviously a cheap movie, but i liked it a bit...
especially cause it looked like they would show how the american army (more than most other armies) brake, crush (or however you call that) the trainees, reminding me at brainwashing.
i dont think that the army is that bad, but i think the movie is. cmon, the last 30 minutes were such crap, like the drill instructor who is helping the wounded guy carrying that bag and as my favorite, the moment when all the guys became marines, how they cry, goddamit!
beside that, the movie doesnt have a real story, i mean its like showing how a day of a milk-man is, no good things like a story, camera-spots or similar...

i think its a good movie for some patriotical american guy who things their army is doing a great job (especially with that goverment), but i think its not necessary to discuss this major forum-theme now.

It's not an army movie, it's about the Marines, they're called recruits before they make Marines.

I think it was pretty mediocre. After seeing Full Metal Jacket with the great Lee Ermey as the D.I nothing can come close to that.
