My Hero canceled

According to Downthetubes.com, My Hero has been cancelled. I'm kinda sad, but feel they probably should have killed it when Ardal left.

Not surprised, especially after they moved it to Sunday this series, not particularly sad either although for the 1st few seasons I rather liked it, seeing Ardal play a cross between Dougal and Superman was funny. I think they should definitely have cancelled it when Ardal left, even series 5 was stretching it.

Yeah, I heard about it too.

That's a shame. I really enjoyed the show. And now we're left with reality crap like Big Brother and Shipwrecked.

Blame the producers and writers for bringing in James Dreyfuss. The man can only play one character - pathetic camp, totally unsuitable for this series. Funny in 'The thin blue line', annoying in 'Gimme, Gimme, Gimme' and Oh God, not again in 'My Hero'.

That sucks, this was a really good show. I hope they bring the dvd's out in the U.S.

It was funny. I used to laugh all the time. Agreed it was crap when Ardal left :(

Shame - I loved My Hero but once Ardal left it was dire in the extreme. James Dreyfus was entirely the wrong choice as a replacement and camp Thermoman was buttock-clenchingly embarrassing to watch.

where we are they stopped showing it after the third season, replacing it with "the brittas empire", which is crap.

my hero was fuuny, much better than what us americans try to pass off as comedy.

Why'd he leave, and how they explain his appearence change on the series? I'm watching it now with the new guy, and he's playing a doctor? WTH? The new guy isn't that funny at all....seems too cynical.

I think My Hero went downhill when Ardal left. He was definitely the right guy to plat George/Thermoman. He was funny.

With the new guy, it just seemed painful to watch.

It just got silly and sloppy after Ardel left, there were only like 3 good episode after Ardel left.
