I like the games but did anyone think the backstory sucked bug time Anderson script of what happens in the hive is much more relistic and less laughbly like this story was. A guy with leaches is beyond stupid the makes must of been drunk when they wrote that story.

I liked what they did with Wesker and Birkin, but I just didn't like how the story sh!t on the first RE game.

I like Resident Evil 0! Really, it had the potential to be the best RE game around. However, the story was the worst RE story we've had (not incl. RE4).
I think it's a really good game, but you can tell that the makers weren't too bothered about the plot or whatever, they just wanted to tag it onto the RE series, and the only place they thought it would fit is before RE. I'm not digging it as a game, I like it, but you have to admit that the story is very contradictory and does change the RE story through 1, 2, 3 and CV*.
*I'm not saying that new details weren't added to the backstory during these four games, because it was. It was just that RE0 radically changed the story of the RE saga, and in a big way. Storywise, RE0 was totally unneeded in the RE universe. They could have used many things from the game and made a different game with different characters. The inclusion of Rebecca Chambers and James Marcus was a bad move on their part.

I actually agree with everything u said up til this part. I liked having Rebecca as a main(somewhat cool) character(instead of her whiny self in RE). They should of done something(I hate to say it) like the movie. But then it would be hard for Rebecca to be the main character. So...yeah.
It stayed alot true to the games then 0 did. And Wesker how the hell could you possible think that 0 had a good backstory.
