Picture quality

Just watched this streaming on Netflix. The picture was atrocious. Does the DVD look any better? As in, does it actually look like a professionally-shot movie that's less than 15 years old?

Just watched the DVD. Doesn't look very good either.

Agreed, but due I think to ARTIFICIAL EYE having (and I quote) "enhanced" it "for widescreen TV" according to the DVD sleeve. Which means blown it up too much, spoiled the image quality and composition and cut off the tops of people's heads!
Quite how that counts as enhancement is beyond me but there is a lot of it about. We used to get widescreen films panned-and-scanned for 4:3 TV. Now it's the other way round!
I guess the original version will look vastly better in every respect.

'Enhanced' means it's anamorphic. The Blu-ray of this from Cohen is even worse as it has a green cast and everything is too dim.
