What the *beep* What's so great about this movie? This *beep* was stupid. At first it seemed like a rip-off of A Bronx Tale, but as it went along it developed into some boring ass film filled with punching and the typical story of "oh, violence will only have us all hurting in the end!" moral crap. Oh, and can't forget the sweet girl who wants to leave town 'cause she feels everyone is mean and crazy...wow, been done a billion other times. And one of you actually said it was in your top 10? Heh, what a joke.

LOL this movie was utter garbage. The best, most cliche'd scene was when dorf tells that little tool frankie muniz's father in a fake italian accent "hes a good kid leave him alone"

LOL. How friggin cliche'd and cheesy could you get.
Like others said, see a bronx tale or the wanderers if you want to see an original, awesome piece of work not some second rate, generic, blatant rip-off that failed miserably even in copying others success.

I agree its not as good as "A Bronx Tale" (Who could compete with De Niro?), but this movie is well acted with a decent story line.
Definitely worth seeing.

As the original screenwriter of this movie, I must tell you that the original version of DEUCES was a really cool ass-kicking piece of work. There is a long and pathetic story why this movie was destined for failure, both creatively and financially. Much of it has to do with the rewrites that I was not involved with. It did do 20 mil on DVD, so not all was lost, but in it's original, more realistic form, the movie may have gone on to do much better business and with a competent studio behind it instead of the insipid fools at MGM at the time, a decent release. Not against SpiderMan and Scorpion King. Perhaps in February or September.

Look out for NIGHTS OF TURQUOISE, coming soon. Call the Weinstein Co and ask about it.

Yeah this movie really isn't that good. It's entertaining. But the story line has been done before, all too cliche. Stephen Dorff cannot throw a punch to save his life, the fight scenes were terrible. Really cheesy overall. I do find myself watching it from time to time, but actually thinking about it, it sucks. It would be a GREAT movie if one of my friends had told me they made it.

I find it hard to imagine anyone could like this movie. It is the most watered-down and incompetently acted piece of trash I've ever had the misfortune to sit through. If you liked this I recommend you have a marathon of You Got Served, Gigli, and Battlefield Earth, you'll cream your pants with excitement.

This movie is surprisingly terrible considering what great people are in it. I love Fairuza Balk, not to mention Stephen Dorff, Matt Dillon, Norman Reedus, James Franco, and more. Oh well. A Bronx Tale on the otherhand is a WONDERFUL movie, also with a great cast.
