What was up with her family?

many self injurers are treated that way by their families.

Simple: they were too wrapped up in their problems to pay attention to their only children. The only difference is that her dad noticed (somewhat), while her mom just struggled to stay the center of attention.

I actually liked the dad, he is almost like my dad, even tough my dad cares alot more. BUT her dad atleast cared for her, he tried to do the best he could. I suppose the mother did too but it come out all wrong. It must be hard for parents when their daughter cuts. But they did care for her, it would be worse if they didnt give a *beep*

I hate the brother and especially the mother.
