"Sweet November" was a mediocre film made better by Charlize Theron's excellent, heartrending performance. I think she should have been nominated for a Golden Globe as Best Actress in a Motion Picture (Drama). Not Oscar-worthy as "Monster," but definitely deserving of a Golden Globe nomination.

And it's JLO not Jay Lo where did you get that one, and if you were a real fan you'd call her Jennifer Lopez since she doesn't really like the JLo thing anymore. And I'm a big fan of hers but I have to say Charlize is better. I know what Jennifer is capable of as I've seen all her movies which by the way have not all been great which by your standards would mean she isn't a good actor because her movies are not all the greatest thing to ever hit the screen. And let's remember that Jennifer WON in fact swept the Razzies this year so you should probably shut up about Charlize getting nominated.

i really can't believe she got nominated for a razzie with this performance. I think she kept this movie alive. Keanu was a miscast but djeezus I'm a guy and I'm not into that kind of movies but charlize really got me into it. I thought it was a really superb perfomance. I thought of her as a talented actress but this.... It really moved me. She's world class!!!!

To be fair the movie was going to be crap from the get-go but I don't rate Theron very highly. All her movies have been bad until Cider House Rules which was okay and Monster was laughable. It proves you can get an oscar for doing a frog impersonation.

To say Theron was bad in this movie just seems ridiculous. In fact, I'd say she sets one of the most glaring examples of an actress stealing the show from an actor in cinematic history. (Not that it's hard to stand out in a Keanu Reeves film)
Charlize Theron was actually very, very good in this movie.
Actually I've never seen her in a bad performance. I've seen her in bad movies (Waking up in Reno, Reindeer Games), but she was never the problem of the film. She always worked on her characters, she always made choices in her performances, she always managed to make you feel the human side of her character no matter if the material was flawed.

For now, let's start from your list: the other poster asked you about actresses of the same age-range of Charlize Theron; almost all the actresses you mentioned aren't in the same age-range. And Charlize is anyway in the same league of half of them, and above the other half.
