1. When you have children with a potentially life threatening illness buy an isolated house.

2. Light sensitivity means make sure there are plenty of windows.

3. But a house with more rooms than you need. Thus making it take forever to get to your kids if they are hurt.

4. Hire three strangers with no references.

If your curtains disappear, immediately accuse the servants of taking them, and be hysteric about it.

Always lock the door behind you when you leave a room. Carry a set of keys with you to all the rooms in your house. Why? Even the movie doesn't know!

Make your kids memorize boring stories about fantasy families. It will surely make them perfect.

Put a gun by the door in w locked chest and leave it loaded just in case ghosts show up at your house.

Doors work against ghosts for a while before they come back inside, conveniently, so that you can remember you're dead by talking to the live people in your house.
