I've had this on VHS for years, and love it. Still watch it now and again.
I'm a stickler for avoiding getting DVDs of things I have owned on VHS. I just don't tend to watch them as much. Are the Extras on Instrument worth buying it again?
The DVD has three live performances, in full ('Waiting Room', 'Turnover' and 'Long Divison') all three are superb and captures the band's live energy. There are also two of the directors short films, both soundtracked by the band. 'Glue Man' in particular is excellent. I personally feel that generally DVD extras are tacked on to sell more DVDs and i rarely watch them, however the extras on 'Instrument' positively suppliment an already excellent film, so i would recommend buying the DVD, but i guess it depends on how much you like Fugazi. I personally feel that that is the answer I was looking for, thank you Faust! I do love the band, and will definitely get the DVD. I should have done it before really, but I am perpetually poor, and hate DVDs with little or no extras if I already have the film, regardless of how much I love it. It's not like it's expensive, or that the money won't be 're-invested' well.

ha ha sadly i don't work for discord, i'm just a fan. I have had the DVD for about 7 years now and still revisit it (rare for me with music DVDs) I'm sure you'll enjoy the extras, you also get a useful little booklet with info about the band and film, which is also nice! (i promise i don't work for discord!)

There was a pretty extensive booklet with the VHS... I wonder if it's different? I'll find out soon enough!
