I owe this movie a lot
This movie basically saved me from having nightmares for the rest of my life (feels weird saying that about a horror flick).
I was one of those stupid people that honestly believed that The Texas Chainsaw Massacre really happened (yes I'm aware of how dumb that seems). While I was in therapy (for something totally unrelated and no I'm not going to tell you what). The fact that I was completely terrified by Leatherface, just a picture of him would give me nightmares for weeks, happened to come up, and my therapist made a suggestion, she told me to research the killer the character was based on and go see the remake of Texas Chainsaw Massacre (which was in theaters at this point in time) so I did I went to the library and read about Eddie Gein and I researched any movies I could find that where about him (saw some really bad movies) and finally came across this one, so I rented it from Blockbuster on night, well not only did it help me understand that Leatherface was indeed not real and was not going to slash me up with a chainsaw (I know retarded), but I really liked it as well.
So anyway I saw the remake of TCM and now I'm full recovered of that really dumb phobia. so thanks to the cast and directors and everyone who had a part in making this movie. Though it was a horror flick, it helpped me out a lot. (This now concludes me being a dork LOL)
Why must close-minded people always open their mouths?share
