I seriously think this is one of the most underated films I've ever seen. I find it very funny and it keeps me entertained to the very end. It's definately by far one of Brendan Frasers best performances. Not to mention Elizabeth Hurley is stunning in it. Does anyone agree?

shareYes, I find it totally underated. There were many funny moments in the film that had me rolling in stitches ... Fraser is a riot! And Hurley makes an incredible devil ... totally love that she keeps changing outfits.
Who cares about the thin plot ... this is a COMEDY that pokes fun at so many clichés yet still manages to convey a message. I think the scenarios were hilarious and I remember the first time watching it, I was surprised every time.
Fraser is a comic genius in this film and I love that his "office crew" show up in all the scenarios. Each time I've watched it, I've caught onto more and more jokes ... like how I felt when I've watched Austin Powers which is just as hokey (and brilliant).
Underated? Most definitely.

I definitely agree! This movie was so funny and really heartfelt and i dont think it got enough credit. It had a good message, and was just a great movie! I love Elizabeth Hurley as the devil, she's gorgous and sexy and fantastic, and Brendan Fraser was perfect! He managed to portray each character very well!

My favorite part is when he finds his true love at the end of the movie. That character, Eliot deserved it specially being ridiculed by those co-workers.

I completely agree that it was underrated! I loved it. I can still laugh at it even though i have watched it so many times! I even have the dvd :)

I own a copy that I watch often, and I laugh every time. Moroever, I have watched the Peter Cook and Dudley Moore version and couldn't sit all the way through it. Was bored out of my gourd, didn't laugh at all. My friend managed to finish it but said it stayed drab and dull to the very end. I liked how they had a message but didn't beat you over the head with it. Plus it is very funny, especially the drug lord and the overly sensitive Opie guy. And the eye candy, in the person of Gabriel Cassius...wow(fans self). Guys get to look at Elizabeth Hurley in tight outfits, and we ladies get God or the angel or whatever he is. Plus Brendan, if he's your type. This movie has everything.
shareIMO, good comedies are hard to come by, especially ones that actually make me laugh more than once. I've seen this movie several times, and still it makes me laugh. Very underrated and Elizabeth is so frikin gorgeous !!!!!!!!!!

Fraser was great in this, comedically and otherwise, and Hurley was both alluring and humorous and not just eye-candy. They both played their parts well, though Fraser was a degree above because he was so versatile.
I saw it over a decade ago and just recently and it's just as funny with it's many memorable lines.
The unheard, unpreferred, deterred, and deferred beyond the absurd.
Totally agree - I couldn't believe when I came and saw here it's at a 5.9 right now. I give it a 7 for me that means a pretty darn good movie.
