'Isn't it obvious?'


David Paymer's character asks Bartleby what's wrong and he responds, "Isn't it obvious?" Then Bartleby stares at him for a few seconds. What do you think Bartleby means by this? Personally, I have no clue.

He means to say, isn't it obvious that I'm depressed? When you're depressed it seems so clear to you, so you believe others can see it, as well.
