the best of DVD that they are selling is not enough

The Midnight Special DVD set is indeed weak 1972-1983 and all they offer up is less than ten hours,less than an hour per year. and @ #119.99 = $12.00/hr. Hmm...well I never thought Saturday Night Live would put out by the seasons but they have now done so. If enough people buy this first offering at some future point they will release the show in seasons,or PBS will pony up a load of cash,double or triple the cost in the guise of helping poor little PBS which has paid insane amounts to get "Click and Clack" the car guys and many other on air talents and shows not to mention that virtually every PBS across the country has built brand new state of the art studios. Not bad for poor struggling PBS eh!!! in fact if it wasn't for the PBS My Music series Burt Sugarman would probably have never released these or that they would have released in the year by year style but 10 hours at a time this set is less than 3 shows so if they market 11 years that way it becomes, well figure it out I was there & there was no home VCR's or DVD's and only Professional TV Studios had any sort of taping equipment and the shows ran for two or three hours with very little commercial interuption compared to todays TV programming. Their sitting on a lot of outstanding performances and super stars they probably could release DVD's featuring oh let's say Rod Stewart performing every hit that they got him to come and perform on the very week it hit number 1. But I still wish I had someone I could borrow the DVD's that they have released because I won't buy them until they produce the SEASON sets, just as I have out waited SNL and will now buy the season sets of SNL.
shareI want to clarify,The 10hr. set is awesome and if Burt Sugarman Inc. doesn't release any other performances it would be a crime to not have bought this set. However, just as blood sucking Sumner Redstone and his blood sucking Redstone enterprizes that own VIACOM,PARAMONT PICTURES,BLOCKBUSTER,CBS,TVLAND,and at least a dozen or more other companies and scores of television shows that they will suck every cent they can out of them. As they have from the Star Trek series & when the cash is down to a trickle as it was with the Original Star Trek Series they finally release the original series in the year by year format instead of trying to get $10.00 per episode rate they were trying to get.
shareI just watched an informercial for Midnight Special DVDs and as much as I loved The Midnight Special, I refuse to buy clips. I'll only purchase full episodes. If there's a petition out there I'll sign it.
shareI agree.Maybe include commercials from the broadcasts also.I thought about petitioning the producers when they got Helen Reddy as permanent host.She sucked as host & as a singer.

shareIt's NEVER going to happen due to the staggering amount of box sets that would have to be made-stop wishing for unrealistic things.
