More Like Kolchak

Many people have compared this cartoon to Scooby Doo because of the teens solving mysteries angle. But truthfully, this cartoon is more like Darren McGavin's Kolchak episodes in the 1970's. Kolchak was a newpaper reporter who investigated weird happenings (vampires, ghosts, monsters, etc...). He always ended up involved in the supernatural happening. He always discovered it to be real, not someone just dressed up. Kolchak would get to the bottom of things and then print the wild story. Archie is the 90s cartoon version of the 1970's Kolchak: The Night Stalker.
