North American DVD release planned?

Any one have info on this. Really enjoyed Kirikou.

No, but there is an (official, I think) South Korean DVD which is Region 0. It has the original French dialogue and English subtitles (in addition to the Korean dub and subtitles), the only disadvantage I can see is that it doesn't have the wide-screen version of the film. But it's the only available option if you can't play Region 2 DVDs (the only wide-screen DVDs existing are the French and Japanese versions, and these are both Region 2).

There is also an Italian region 2 DVD, with Italian dialogue and Italian and French subtitles (weird choice, I must admit it).

The Korean DVD can be found easily on eBay; the French version I got from Fnac.com (which seemed to be the cheapest which would ship outside of France).

Actually, it's already been out on R1 for a while; it's bundled with the Canadian Special Edition of Kirikou and the Sorceress in Canada. The box and the extras are in French, but both films have English subtitles and Kirikou also has the English dub.

There is now also a domestic, USA release, but I don't know what aspect ratio and format it uses… It would be best to wait until someone can confirm that.

It's now confirmed. It's the 4:3 version.
