Best character in movie

This movie is cool! Full stop!
There are so many characters to relate to but i have to say my fave is sean the bartender.
Has a small role but brings a lot to it!
Jon Corbett gives a suprise twist to his character too

I like the trouble Duncan was in. His girlfriend was hot.

The secret to watching this movie is to have a bottle of your favorite wine available while viewing. As most of it is filmed to be real time during one evening's dining, by the time you're into the second hour of the dinner/movie, your own wine is providing a happy internal glow, and it's like you're right there in the restaurant.

One of these days I'm going to get myself over to New York so I can have dinner at that actual place. I can't remember the real name of the restaurant at this moment, but I have their website filed away here someplace... No, really, I know it's here somewhere; I wrote it down... Aaarghh...

Jeez, Louise!
Louis Cropa, played by Danny Aiello, was the core. The film turned around him in so many ways. He was the source and of the history, the sentiment, and love of the family, the orchestrator of the tough but fair love of Duncan, and finally, the harsh justice for Black and Blue.

I have seen Danny Aiello in only a few other films, and they were somewhat stereotyped roles that he nevertheless gave interesting twists to, so I'm not expert on this, but I have to ask if this isn't his finest role in so many ways. He seems so truly Italian in the best sense of the word.

The restaurant is "Gigino's", and is in Tribeca, which stands for "TRIangle BElow
CAnal Street".

I enjoyed your take. Big Aiello fan! And I've seen most of his work. I own this film. I adore this film. I recommend this film to everyone I know. It is a classic. A true night at a top restaurant in Manhattan! With some added mob drama...and who wouldn't want that?? I watched Dinner Rush again tonight - first time in about 2 yrs...I fell in love all over again. It gets me every time. So much so that I felt compelled to look it up on IMDB and write my own note. I am surprised more people don't know about this movie. I adored Big Night, however, for me it pales in comparison to this film.

So I guess I'm done. If you haven't seen this picture yet, for the love of God, go buy the dvd now!!!

Each character was unique but Fitzgerald to me was the best character. He is classic. Also, the character (not sure if he was Black or Blue) but the one played by Alex Corrado was good to.

Should've won Oscar for DTRT.

You can't argue with Fitzgerald

but I would put Carmen (Michael McGlone)and Ken Roloff (John Corbett) next

Udo was great.

So many excellent performances here. I would have to go with Fitzgerald as my favourite character. Could he be any more annoying and still make me choke with laughter. He had the best lines too. And Udo gets my vote for the cutest.
