Isn't it the FIRST son whos usally named after the Dad

why is Bobby Bobby & not Bill to? 0.o

cause, in my experience[I come from a huge family of Juniors...it's a big deal with all my male relatives(I've got like 7 cousins with the same name, LoL)] if you have a junior in the family it's the oldest son

soo...why would they have waited till Little Bill to have a Junior?? 0.o

Well usually but not always. i know many families who have done the same thing because they didnt expect to have another child and when they did they just named him after the father. My great-grandma did that, and she ended up having a lot more children than she expected.

my mother is named after her mother, and she's the youngest of 8 kids, youngest of 4 girls

My Dad is scottish and over there you name the second son after the father. So his brother is James jr. :)

"I"m not so good at the advice...Can I interest you in a sarcastic comment??

Our eldest son isn't named after my husband. On my side of the family, we name our firstborn sons the same middle name. My grandfather, father, brother, nephew (brother's son) and my son all share the same middle name. Our second-born son is named after my husband. We refer to my husband by his first name and our son by his middle name.

My father is the second born son and he's named after my grandfather. My dad has a first cousin who has two sons. The youngest son has the father's name.

There's something deeper than the other reasons. The Little Bill book series was created by Ennis Cosby, but he was killed before he could write it. Father Bill Cosby took the concept and wrote the book series, with very basic plot concept from Ennis.

Anyway, Ennis was Bill's middle son. Thus, Bill made Bill Jr. the middle son of Bill Sr.
