I've tried to watch this movie 5+ times. I can't get more than 15 minutes into it before I get fed up with the terrible directing and turn it off. It's borderline unwatchable to me due to the bad directing. My question is whether this movie is worth watching despite the directing. Please do not write any spoilers in your replies, about anything at all about the movie.

Well, it's certainly an entertaining story that goes in directions that are unpredictable from the first 15 minutes . . . but it's hard to guess what you might not like about the directing, so maybe whatever you dislike will bother you even more as you get further into it. Svankmajer is one of my favorite directors, so . . .

Perhaps you should question why you've attempted to watch this movie so many times. Maybe there's something enticing about the film that you like. Sort of like when I watch a movie, I don't really like or hate it, but then I keep thinking about it.
