I was surprised by Stellan Skarsgård's talent for physical comedy in this film. I found him really funny .....quite liked the film as a whole, it was well intentioned.
{Ridiculous though that I had to buy a copy from France, as it's not available here in UK.}
Anyway , can see now why Skarsgård might be cast in Pirates of the Caribbean.... because I was bewildered.
At least there in the UK you can find it through online rentals! Try finding it here in the states, that's a challenge for ya

Yes, an absolutely brilliant movie when I caught it back in the day. A true gem. Unfortunately its seems to somehow entirely have disappeared into the void.
