Other Great Kansas Film Makers

I hope that the renewed interest in this film will finally bring some attention to some of the amazing Film Making talent in Kansas. Kansas has a steep history of film tradition that isn't very well known including up and comers like Patrick Rea and Robert Kreh, as well as some veterans like Lance D. Hayes who directed "King Kung Fu" and Leif Jonker who Directed the cult classic "Darkness".

Check out some of these films:

Leif Jonker's "Darkness"

Robert Kreh's "Crotch Rot":

Matthew Krause's "Baby's Breath"

Patrick Rea's "The Empty Acre"

Never heard of any of those guys.

But how could you forget Herk Harvey, director of the original "Carnival of Souls," arguably the most famous film ever shot (partially) in Kansas?
