How did she get cast as Maureen McCormick?

Obviously a small production like this isn't going to find a Maureen lookalike who also happens to be a fantastic actress... but seriously, who did this actress have to blow to get the part? Not at all pretty. Couldn't act her way out of a paper bag. Didn't look a thing like Maureen.

I suppose the same argument could have been said for all of the older four kids, but Maureen was one of the main characters, probably the second main character. Adam Brody was at least efficient in his role. But the casting of "Marsha" for this movie was WAY off the mark!

I saw the movie today I thought she was fine. I don't mean this as an attack so I hope I don't offend you but the Brady Bunch is a pretty dorky, obvious kind of show, I think Kaley Cuoco fulfilled her role, she was the main part in 8 Simple Rules for several years after this movie and I think she's super hot (and that's coming from a straight girl perspective)... she definitely came out of her shell in the looks department. I do agree it wasn't fantastic acting, but I think that was the point in a sense

I thought she looked great I was just wishing I could be as pretty as her

funnily enough, she played maureen mccormick's daughter on another show. so it isnt the 1st time that someone thought they looked alike

You forgot she's Penny in "Big Band Theory"!
MAGIC=Sarah Silverman.

I thought she was pretty cute.

As a BRADY ernthusiast I really nitpick at the people they choose for these BRADY-themed movie...and after getting used to the cast I thought they looked pretty good.

I thought Kaley did a fair job as Mo. There were a few scenes where I could really see a resemblance. I think the best person ever to play Marcia was Christine Taylor in the Brady Bunch movie. That was the most uncanny likness in the whole movie.

For obvious reasons, the actor to play Mike Lookinland looked a lot like him. ;)

The "goofs" section did say she was wet before getting in the pool. Maybe "Greg" did better than Barry.....

No replies to this in seven years, I'll go for it, LAUGHING! Kaley was only 15, or I would get a lot more graphic about how hot that camel toe was, and seductive pool scene!

reply

I agree, she wasn't very good. LOL at people saying she was good because she was hot in a pool scene.

I thought her acting was good, the pool thing was just an extra plus to me...

Funny you should say that because during the Howard Stern show Howard asked Maureen how she liked Kaley's portrayal of herself in the movie and she said she was surprised she was watching someone else. Like she was "channeling Marsha".
And that from the lips of Maureen McCormick herself.
And this from a 15 year old girl who now is the star of one of the most popular SitCom's on television? I think they cast her very well.

Don't believe me, then watch the interview yourself.
Warning, it's kind of gross as Howard has no filters on his thoughts or mouth.
