Nashville Premier

We attended a regional premier last night (9/9/05) in Nashville. Writer/Director Lawrence D. Foldes spoke before the screening AND answered questions afterward--meaning he didn't just stop in for a moment and then run. Mr. Foldes was very gracious to the audience. We were impressed with his desire to connect with folks in flyover country and to hear our thoughts about the film and what we would like to see more of from Hollywood. He even brought with him a vocalist from the film to treat us to a song. Give Lawrence Foldes an "A" for effort.

Was he late like he was to the others? yeah, the guy loves to hear himself talk. kind-of the pompus sort. alot of small filmmakers get that way but look at reality here bud, c'mon man. He wanted to connect with you guys because he cant speak to anyone in hollywood because he is a nobody, but all the sudden he is a star in your town. and the vocalist he brought was probably broke and hurting for some cash.

It's been 3 years and I just want to see the blasted film before the actors all die of old age. What's the hang-up?

I agree.

My wife saw it at a mutiplex theater here in Bangor, Maine this past July. It only played for a couple of weeks and then it vanished.

At this point I'd settle for a DVD release date. None seems to be forthcoming.
They need to get this in circulation.
