Opinions Please

I've been thinking about buying Dino Crisis one for The Playstation.

But, I would like some Opinions please.

Is it worth buying?

What's the goods and bads about the game?

If anybody can give me their opinions on buying Dino Crisis,

I would very much appreciate it.

Thanks and take care.

Definitely worth buying, especially if you're a Resident Evil or Jurassic Park fan.

Goods are great suspense, a hot lead, nice and unexpected 'jump' scares, and an original enough storyline.

Bads are: a bit too reminiscent of Resident Evil at times, limitations on weapons (you only have three the entire game), and certain puzzles that will drive you mad, though entertaining.

All is all it's definitely worth it. A bit dated by today's terms, but good to have in the collection, nevertheless.

Hope this helps!

If you like survival horror games then you'll probably like this one. This was my favorite survival horror game but it's not for everyone to be honest. Like the above poster said, some of the puzzles can drive you mad if you don't read the files carefully (they basically tell you what to eliminate so that you can make the right answer). I loved that it was actually more focused on survival than Resident Evil. Like the above poster said, there are only three weapons throughout the game but instead of finding bigger ones you upgrade them as you go along to make them stronger to deal with the tougher and stronger dinos.

It's a very good game and if you love survival horror you'll love the atmosphere in this game and it will provide some good scares.

One of the cons is that it may be too hard for most because of how you have to manage your limited item storage and conserve ammo because the dinos take more than a few hits to die.

I was way too young when I first got the game. Not that it traumatized me, but I had no freaking clue how to decipher the puzzles (some of which are still irritating).

The first one was the best but it looked too much like Resident Evil. I think thats why they went into a different direction with DC2 and DC3.

The first DC was also deffo harder than all RE games, I believe Mikami called it a thinking mans Resident Evil at the time. Well, he was right. Conserving ammo was key in this game, as well as pretty difficult puzzles. Enemies were hella strong on any difficulty above Easy, even the first enemy is most likely to rip you open if you decide to fight.

I liked the game, i truly felt I was playing Survival Horror as its meant to be, something thats been lacking in later RE games.
