Although Ken Williams was not easiest person to get on with did he really hate Sid James THAT much -with his vicous jibes and taunts?
Did he also kick up a fuss over the Stocks scene in Carry On Dick?

From what i have read and heard on audio commentories on the DVD's there was no animosity between Sid and Kenny, although they were 2 totally different personalities they got on well as did all the Carry on team, they were like family and i have never heard anyone or read anything to think otherwise. I think the idea of a feud between them both started with Williams diaries discovered in the 90's where while filming Carry On henry Williams stated that "Sid james looked as bad as his acting". I believe all these comments about his co-stars to be taken with a pinch of salt, after all he also called Barbara Windsor a *beep* in one entry, even though he adored her. The feud makes for good drama though.

For all that Sid had his faults, lack of professionalism at work wasn't one - and he couldn't stand KW's antics. (Or, perhaps, just couldn't understand)
KW, on the other hand, knew Sid was the only member of the Carry On team who wouldn't indulge him when he went off at a tangent.That indulgence might explain wht KW stuck with the Carry Ons despite his well-publicised animosity towards them.
I watched "Cor Blimey!" this afternoon - very enjoyable movie but to be taken with a pinch of salt, I feel.
I never watch the last few Carry Ons as the quality dropped markedly from "Girls" onwards...
