Anyone here ever meet a Carry On actor or actress?

On my one and only visit to Harrods (mid 1980s), as I opened the exit door to leave I looked behind me to make sure I wasn't letting it swing back on someone's face (as you do).

Anyway, this woman was coming up with a heavy shopping bag in each hand. I held the door open for her and she said "thanks, love".

Before I even realised I'd said it, I blurted out
"you're Joan Sims, aren't you?"

She gave me a great big smile and said "that's me!"

I think I stood there open-mouthed for a good 45 seconds!

yes i have met the Babs Winsor one time me and my friends Ravi and Rami were in Covent Gardren back in 1990 and we ran into her, she was a very sweet and gracious lady and looks much smaller in the flesh hana but her bust was looking very niice also. she was a verrry nice womens and verry friendly toward me and my friend! this is in the day before the mobile phone and we didnt have any camera not like in nowadays hana where every Tom, Dick, and Mary have a mobile with camera phone
