I'm curious, and I forget, did Elmo assume The Lizard was going to crash the payoff, and prepped a lethal drink that he'd probably take? Or was he planning on killing Rhys Ifans character?

He prepared it for The Lizard. He made a deal with Dawn/Dakota to set him up.
