Why the Spanish title?

Ok, the movie is about a girl in Rio right? So why does it have a Spanish title? Shouldn't it have a Portuguese title since Brazil's official language is Portuguese and not Spanish?

Just my 2 cents...

It's just because the movie is an European production and the producers (those who pay for the movie) are Spanish. A little concession, I imagine.
nice film :)

It IS a Spanish (Spain) movie. I just bouught the DVD and see they do not even have Portuguese subtitles! Basically, I think the producers made a movie concerning Samba to profit off the "exotic" image people have of women, Samba, and Rio.

But then again a movie I really like, Blame it on Rio, is in English. So I guess we should expect producers to make films in their own national language since that is their audience.
