Inspiration for STAR WARS

ANYone know where George Lucas got many of his ideas for the original Star WARS. A movie franchise that has netted him billions of dollars?? Check out season 1 episode 4 on you tube-called highway of assassins. Check out part 3-Watch from 3 min in for about a min. Plus notice the bad guy w the white hair and beard and clothes. Looks a lot like an asian obi-wan...During the sword fight in the water, watch what the hero does. He puts his sword in the water, and then a short time later-makes a strange noise and glow. MUch like the light saber from Star Wars. And then to top it off, at the 11:48 mark look at the figure/statue in the background that is knocked down...It looks a lot like Darth VADER-LUCAS stole these ideas from this, and never paid or even acknowledged it. Yes he talked about how he merged many different story types-westerns, sci-fi, Samurai etc...But this is far too specific. The sound of the light saber, and DArth VADER. Come on- I cannot believe no one has ever even brought it up. I am putting this on STAR WARS thread!!

I think, it is pretty known, that he took a lot from "Hidden fortress" by Akira Kurosawa. Lucas was planning the Star Wars series while the Kozure Okami-Series was on air, and I doubt that there were any translations on the comics available. He was definitely inspired by eastern works - in his early drafts of "A new hope" there were basically jedi clans battling against others like warrior clans in chinese or japanes movies - but he did not got inspired by that one, I think.
