When Nick walks outside with the trash can, the garbage truck is in the process of flipping the dumpster. Nick then walks over with the can, opens the lid and retrieves/exchanges the new trash can that was not tied secured in the dumpster.

That trash can would have gone into the gabarge truck.

Sometime when you want the devil, you have to go to hell and get him!

For Burt to hand off the computers in the trash bin, wouldn't it be possible if he already had the empty bin in his forks and then swapped out the bins that way. There's no other way to do the swap without getting out of the cab and raise suspicion.

Sorry- no goof. The driver gets out and puts something in the bin. Well- and the driver is the guy that works for Deniro's character, the one who tries to muscle Nick for Deniro's character at the beginning of the movie.
